First off the new unit looks very much like the older model but sound performance of the new soundlink model really does pack a punch for a much smaller unit, physically to the touch it feels much better than the older hard plastic model having a rubberized feel which allows much better grip and more of a premium feel all round, the buttons have also been much improved compared to the older model, they feel nice and easy to use.
The sound is best in small to medium sized rooms where you might want to consider placing the speaker nearer the walls like on a kitchen corner unit, this allows the sound to bounce off the walls giving you a much better quality sounding effect which should be enough for you and a few friends but don’t expect to be holding a big party with it mind.
The battery life of the unit is an expected 8 hours from fully charged, its new and stylish curvy rubbery design certainly looks as good as it sounds, now also being waterproof to a degree as it is splash proof IPX4, also there is four nice different colors to choose from.
These four stylish designs are certainly a must have for any of you music lovers who like to hear their music to the full potential in which where you can actually feel the music, as we said they most certainly do pack a punch for such a smaller unit also easy to carry around with you,
